Pavilion Construction in 2001
Old world craftsmanship and innovative custom design went into the 2001 construction of the entertainment Pavilion that Richard and Pamela Bard built. White oak timbers were hand selected and harvested from Amish country near the Ohio-Pennsylvania border specifically for this unique space. The giant timbers were fabricated in San Antonio, Texas, by Texas Timber Frames to create the huge trusses and beams you see today. The large eight foot wide stone replace and chimney was incorporated from the original pavilion, which was deconstructed in order to build the new space. The Pavilion was finished in time to host the wedding of Matt Markatos and Alison Bard, Richard’s daughter.
